Final Fantasy XIV ARR Patch is Trying to Silence FFXIV Gil Sellers

After FFXIV ARR came out, there are many gil sellers and ffxiv power leveling service suppliers. And now the Square Enix is trying to do something to silence these sellers.

The first is before being patched, many level 50 players found themselves losing far more money through durability hits than they would earn in a given day. Some have even stated that they've run out of money and are unable to participate in content.

If you're looking to finish Amdapor Keep in 20 minutes to farm tomes then you're out of luck. Naoki Yoshida, the game's producer and director, stated more than a year ago that he is strongly against speed runs, so this doesn't come as a surprise.

The second is those gil sellers will no longer be able to spam advertisements endlessly. After three shouts in succession, the player is denied shout privileges for a period of time. While gil seller shouts will probably never go away, Square Enix's active stance against them and this change should make them more bearable.

The game's first content patch is still on the horizon and will bring a new boss, a new difficulty mode for primal battles, 4v4 and 8v8 arena battles, and player housing.
